We use these flexi-connectors with our bellows, joining the bellows to the bag using custom made stab connectors at both ends of the Flexi-Tube. We use various woods for the stab connectors but mostly, African Blackwood, Mopani and Beech.
The flexi tubes have long and short straight sections and can be cut shorter or joined to make the perfect connection between bellows and pipes. If you are going to cut the tube to make a shorter length we recommend cutting it slightly longer than what you think that you might need and then try it. If you then still need to modify it you will have material to remove.
The concertina section allows the pipe to bend without restricting the flow of air. The connector dimensions are 14.5cm in length 16mm diameter through bore and are made from latex rubber.
The joining connectors can be made fit most bellows and pipes. If you want to make your own joints the diagram below shows what you need to fit into the Flexi-Tube. A 9mm or 10mm diameter thru hole on the wooden connector is recommended. The groove is positioned so that the stab connector can be tied into the rubber tube with cord, alternatively you could use a cable tie. and then on the other end whatever is needed to fit your bellows and bag.
